5 concrete steps to take now:
1. Implement adequate legal instruments to achieve 50 % women members of Parliament in each country.
2. Systematically and significantly encourage the emergence and recognition of women’s organizations acting for a more sustainable world.
3. Ensure that in each country, the legislation is compatible with the UN Convention on « the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women» (CEDAW -1979), and that is truly implemented.
4. Improve access of girls and women to basic services (health, education, nutrition) and to basic resources (water, land, renewable energy), and contribute to their financial autonomy.
5. Significantly increase public development aid and implement a new international financing system to enforce the respect of the universal economic and social rights and respond to women’s basic needs.
